The New Zealand Warriors have vowed to provide Kieran Foran with the support he needs to relaunch his NRL career.

Foran will return to NRL with the Warriors after a one-year deal was confirmed on Thursday by the Auckland outfit.

The Kiwi playmaker had his 2016 season wrecked by a season-ending shoulder injury as off-field issues dogged him following a high-profile switch from the Manly Sea Eagles to the Parramatta Eels, whom he managed just nine appearances for.

"We will put all the support around him that is required," Warriors chief executive Jim Doyle told Radio Sport.

"We will put people around him to help make him physically and mentally fit.

"You could see he is getting better and better and getting his life in order."

Foran's deal is yet to be ratified by the NRL, with doubts over his mental wellbeing and links to controversial gambler Eddie Hayson reported concerns.

"Any contract will be considered on its merits," an NRL spokesperson is quoted by the Sydney Morning Herald.

"We need to be convinced that any player is fit and proper to play in the NRL before a contract is registered."

However, Doyle sees no need for concern in the matter, adding: "We don't see any reason why they won't register the contract."
