NRL review: Manly Sea Eagles win 38-6 at Gold Coast Titans

Manly Sea Eagles ran in seven tries as they romped to a 38-6 victory at Gold Coast Titans in the NRL.

The Titans fans started Monday's game in fine voice at the Cbus Stadium, reserving plenty of boos for Eagles half-back Daly Cherry-Evans - who reneged on a deal to join the Titans from 2016.

However, the Eagles soon silenced the home faithful with a dominant performance, with Tom Trbojevic and Jorge Taufua both crossing twice.

Trbojevic started the rout in the 11th minute after taking a well held-up pass by Cherry-Evans, before good work from Brett Stewart set Taufua free for the second try in the 26th minute.

It got worse for the Titans before half-time. Stewart first got himself on the scoresheet and Taufua finished a well-worked move that Jamie Lyon converted to make it 20-0 by the break.

The rout continued five minutes after the restart when Kieran Foran - celebrating his 25th birthday - crossed before Willie Mason stretched the lead with a try next to the post.

Trbojevic scored a controversial seventh try for the Eagles when Steve Matai appeared to knock-on in the build-up.

Titans debutant Nathaniel Peteru went over for a consolation in the last minute, but the damage had already been done.
