The Cincinnati Bengals snapped a two-game losing streak with a 22-7 win over the hapless Miami Dolphins in the NFL.

Cincinnati's offense struggled to get things going in their first three games but came alive as they latched on to A.J. Green, who notched 173 yards receiving for his second game of 170 or more this season.

He finished with 10 grabs, including a seven-yard touchdown reception that gave the Bengals a 10-7 lead.

The Bengals more than doubled up the Dolphins in total yards and time of possession in the first half for a 16-7 lead.

Ryan Tannehill, who had not thrown a touchdown pass in two career wins against the Bengals, took care of that in short order with a 74-yard bomb to Kenny Stills on Miami's first drive for a 7-3 lead, but that was the Dolphins' lone highlight.

Of his 189 passing yards, 98 came on a pair of receptions by Stills and Jarvis Landry as the struggling Dolphins quarterback failed to solve a Bengals pass defense that allowed Trevor Siemian to throw four touchdowns a week ago.

Tannehill finished 15 of 25 with the touchdown and an interception.

IT'S EASY BEING GREEN

It was all Green in the first half as he burned through the Dolphins secondary for 123 of those yards on eight catches. One was a 51-yard reception in the second quarter, when Green plucked an Andy Dalton heave from the clutches of Dolphins corner Xavien Howard. Four plays later Green caught the seven-yard touchdown to give the Bengals their first lead.

Vontaze Burfict was the Bengals defender with all the attention in his return from suspension, but Carlos Dunlap sacked Tannehill twice with five tackles.

Stills had only one reception but made it count with a 74-yard touchdown grab on the Dolphins' second play from scrimmage.

DALTON REDEEMED

Dalton entered 4-9 as a starter in night games, but thanks mostly to Green he snapped out of the trend, completing 22 of his 31 passes for 296 yards and the touchdown pass. Never mind that the Bengals stalled twice in three trips to the red zone, settling for field goals inside the 10-yard line each time.

Cincinnati are now 3-4 in their last seven Thursday games and avoided their first three-game losing streak since 2012.

TANNEHILL UNHAPPY

"It was the worst performance I've seen by our offense in a long time. We have to get it fixed and get it fixed fast. And what I mean by fast is Monday," Tannehill said.

GOING STREAKING

The Dolphins are floundering after a 1-3 start and now have lost five straight road games for the first time since the 2011 season. Meanwhile, the Bengals avoided what would have been their first three-game losing streak since 2012.
