New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has been ruled out of the second Test against India due to illness.

The star batsman missed training on Thursday and was ruled out before the start of play in Kolkata on Friday.

Ross Taylor will captain New Zealand in Williamson's absence, which is a huge blow to the tourists.

India claimed a 197-run win in the opening match and can seal the three-Test series.
