Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore surpassed Jim Brown to move up to ninth in the NFL's all-time rushing list.

Gore's 16-yard run against the Chicago Bears moved him past former Cleveland Browns great Brown.

That first-quarter surge gave him 30 yards in Sunday's game and 12,323 yards for his career.

Gore's 12-year career seemed unlikely after two ACL tears while at the University of Miami.

The 33-year-old spent 10 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before joining the Colts last year, further staking his claim for a spot in the Hall of Fame.
