The Seattle Seahawks were cruising to an easy victory over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but they finished their 37-18 win without Russell Wilson as he sustained a knee injury.

Wilson was sacked in the third quarter by 49ers linebacker Eli Harold, who fell onto the quarterback's left leg and his knee bent awkwardly.

Wilson finished the series that ended in a 33-yard Steven Hauschka field goal, but Trevone Boykin entered in his place on Seattle's next possession with the Seahawks holding a 27-3 lead.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said after the game Wilson sprained his knee and should not miss any games.

"I don't think it's severe as it looked," Wilson told reporters. "I have good mobility.

"You always feel better when you win."

Boykin drove the Seahawks down the field and they added another field goal before the end of the third quarter.

Wilson, who had been battling a right ankle injury since week one of the new NFL season, threw for 233 yards in the first half and finished 15 of 23 for 243 yards and a touchdown. He lobbied to return to the game, but Carroll decided to keep Wilson on the sidelines.

Boykin threw a touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin early in the fourth quarter to give Seattle a 37-3 lead with 12:53 remaining.
