India will be forced to make a change to their line-up for the first time in the World Twenty20 after Yuvraj Singh was ruled out of the remainder of the tournament.
Pandey replaces injured Yuvraj in India squad
Manish Pandey has been called into India's World T20 squad after Yuvraj Singh was ruled out of the tournament due to his ankle injury.
Veteran all-rounder Yuvraj twisted his left ankle in Sunday's dramatic victory over Australia, which earned the hosts a place in the semi-finals, and has been replaced in India's squad by Manish Pandey.
The ICC confirmed the inclusion of Pandey, who has two T20 caps, as a replacement player on Wednesday.
India named the same starting XI for each of their four Super 10 fixtures, but will now need to fill the absence left by Yuvraj when they face West Indies in Thursday's second semi-final.
Yuvraj was hurt during India's successful chase against Australia when he landed awkwardly on his left foot having jumped into the air to play the third ball he faced.
He batted on in clear discomfort to make 21 from 18 deliveries, before Virat Kohli accelerated in the closing overs to see India to their target of 161.
While Pandey has taken Yuvraj's place in India's squad, Ajinkya Rahane - a member of the initial 15-man party selected prior to the tournament - could well find himself promoted to the team on Thursday.
