The penultimate day of the Paralympics featured gold medals aplenty and saw a number of world records broken.

ANOTHER GOLDEN CHAPTER IN SARAH'S STOREY

Cyclist Sarah Storey was already Great Britain's most decorated female Paralympian going into the women's C4-5 road race but added yet another honour to her glowing resume with her 14th gold.

The former swimmer came home in two hours, 15 minutes and 42 seconds, with closest challenger Anna Harkowska nearly three-and-a-half minutes behind.

The victory marked Storey's third gold of the Games, with her team-mate Crystal Lane taking bronze.

CHINA SEND RECORDS TUMBLING

China have long since secured their place at the top of the medal table, and there was more history made by their athletes on Saturday.

Mi Na, Zhou Hongzhuan and Zheng Jin all broke world records in adding to China's gold medal tally, which stands at 105.

A throw of 37.60 metres saw Mi win gold in the women's F-38 discus, Zhou triumphed in the women's T53 800m in a time of one minute and 47.45 seconds and Zheng claimed her first Paralympic gold in the women's 1500m, winning in 4:38.92.

There are seven gold medals up for grabs on the final day with five marathons taking place and the men's medal matches in sitting volleyball and weelchair rugby.
