As the New York Mets overcame the Philadelphia Phillies, Trevor Story homered yet again for the Colorado Rockies in MLB.

David Wright and Noah Syndergaard led the New York Mets to a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies, while Trevor Story hit another homer on Monday.

Wright homered twice – his first homers of the year – and Syndergaard struck out eight over seven innings.

Story blasted a solo homer in the eighth inning to set an MLB record as the Rockies beat the Cincinnati Reds 5-1.

The Toronto Blue Jays split their four-game series with the Boston Red Sox courtesy of a 4-3 win.

The Miami Marlins got past the Washington Nationals 6-1, the Chicago Cubs shut out the St Louis Cardinals 5-0 and the Los Angeles Angels blanked the Chicago White Sox 7-0.

The Minnesota Twins edged the Milwaukee Brewers 7-4, with rain bringing the clash to an end after six innings, while the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied past the San Francisco Giants 9-7 through 11 innings.WRIGHT BLASTS TWO HOMERS

Angels left-hander Hector Santiago tied a career-high with 10 strikeouts against the White Sox. The battle for Texas begins with Scott Feldman (0-1, 3.48 ERA) taking the hill for the Astros against Derek Holland (1-0, 2.31 ERA) and the Rangers, who won 13 of 19 against the Astros last season.

Stephen Strasburg (2-0, 1.98 ERA) will toe the rubber against a pesky Marlins line-up he has struggled against in his career. Strasburg is just 10-7 with a 3.69 ERA against the Marlins, who combined for a .309 average against the right-hander last season. The Marlins will counter with southpaw Adam Conley (0-0, 3.86 ERA).
