Caroline Garcia clinched the Strasbourg International title with a dominant 6-4 6-1 victory against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni on Saturday.

A fourth successive triumph over Lucic-Baroni saw Garcia head to the French Open on the back of her first tournament win of the season.

The Frenchwoman charged into a 5-1 lead in the first set, but was broken twice and failed to convert a set point as the Croatian fought her way back into the match.

However, Lucic-Baroni was unable to hold serve to draw level, with Garcia requiring a further three set points in order to take the lead.

Just as she did in the first set, the world number 55 went 5-1 up. This time, though, she did not make the same mistake and completed a comfortable triumph.

It is the second time Lucic-Baroni has been a runner-up in Strasbourg, having lost the 1997 final to Steffi Graf aged just 15.
