Sydney Roosters have announced the signing of Parramatta Eels full-back Michael Gordon on a one-year deal.

Gordon, who joined the Eels from Cronulla Sharks at the start of the year, will link up with the Roosters for the 2017 NRL season.

The 32-year-old has played 14 times for the Eels in 2016, adding to his 71 games for the Sharks and 108 for Penrith Panthers - where he made his first-team debut in 2006.

"With almost 200 NRL matches under his belt, Michael will add experience and depth to our squad," said Roosters chief executive John Lee.

"Michael will also be a terrific mentor as we continue to develop our younger backs, and we're pleased to have secured his services."
