Sean Reidy and Quinn Roux are the two new faces in Joe Schmidt's Ireland squad as they prepare for a three-match Test series against South Africa.
Uncapped duo handed Ireland call
Joe Schmidt has included uncapped duo Sean Reidy and Quinn Roux in his Ireland squad, but there is no place for Cian Healy and Simon Zebo.
Ireland face matches in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth against the Springboks next month with a number of players unavailable for selection.
Simon Zebo, Cian Healy and Tommy Bowe are three of the nine players ruled out for the tour, handing Schmidt the chance to assess other options.
"Touring South Africa will be arduous to say the least so we've attempted to prioritise players who are currently as close to full fitness as possible," said Schmidt.
"In what is always a difficult balancing act, we've taken a long-term view with a number of players who need a rest or will benefit from a full pre-season."
Reidy and Roux are the only uncapped players in Ireland's 32-man squad after impressive seasons in Pro12 for Ulster and Connacht respectively.
However, there are no places for fly-half Ian Madigan and centre Stuart McCloskey.
