There were massive shocks over the weekend in the round of 32 of the 2016 MTN FA Cup competitions as

Asante Kotoko booked their ticket in the round of 16 after beating third-tier side Real 24 Hours FC 2-0 on Saturday at Tumu while their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak on the same day got crushed out by second-tier Samartex after losing 2-4 on penalties.

In the other fixtures, third-tier side Emmanuel FC beat Inter Allies 2-1, Elmina Sharks eliminated Dwarfs via penalty shoot-outs and Asokwa Deportivo kicked out Ashanti Gold.
