The Washington Nationals claimed the National League (NL) East in MLB for a third time in five years.

After a 6-1 win over the Pirates in Pittsburgh, the Nationals headed for the clubhouse to watch the finish of the New York Mets' game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

When the Phillies held on for a 10-8 victory, it was officially time to celebrate.

It added to the division titles the Nationals won in 2012 and 2014, but they have never appeared in the World Series.
