David Pocock and Sean McMahon have been included in Australia's squad for the Bledisloe Cup clash with New Zealand next week, but Will Genia will not feature at Eden Park.

Inspirational flanker Pocock could be in action for the first time since breaking his hand in the Rugby Championship victory over Argentina last month.

Fellow back rower McMahon has also been included in a 31-man squad for the final Bledisloe Cup match of the year, but may not be ready to return as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained against South Africa.

"They've been called into the squad for this game because there's a chance that Pocock could be available for this game," said Wallabies head coach Michael Cheika.

"McMahon probably a little less but we thought we'd bring him in and get an update on him as well."

Genia will play no part after the scrum-half headed to France to join Stade Francais, with the game a week on Saturday staged outside the international Test window.

Lock Will Skelton has been recalled by Cheika for the encounter against the Rugby Championship winners and world champions.
