Ghanaian player hangs out with the world’s most expensive player

Ghanaian star John Cofie spent some time with former Manchester United youth teammate Paul Pogba upon his return to the Old Trafford club.

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard was part of the group as he and Pogba prepare for their club’s second Premier League game against Southampton on Friday night.

Paul Pogba’s English Premier League debut on his return to Manchester United was delayed after his one-game ban was transfer from Italy to England.

Asked if he was ready to play for Manchester United against Southampton, Pogba told Manchester Evening News:

“You have to ask the manager but I feel very good and have been training for 10 days. I am okay..

“I am quite used to this (busy summer). I played the World Cup two years ago when at Juve and three years ago I was at the Under-20s World Cup as well. So I am okay. It is about your body and I have been training on my holidays.”

John Erzuah Cofie is currently a player for Southport. The Ghanaian began his career with Burnley before moving to Manchester United on a transfer fee of £1 million at the age of 14.

The player who was in the Manchester United youth team with Paul Pogba before his transfer to Italian Serie  A club Juventus failed to break into the first team squad.

Manchester United released his after loan spells at Royal Antwerp, Sheffield United and Notts County.

Coffie moved to England after his birth in Ghana. The player has featured for the England U17 national team.
