Prince Tagoe says his agent is working hard to find him a new club and that he has not retired from football

Tagoe, 30, has been dormant from football since leaving Israeli side Hapoel Bnei Lod in 2014, and media reports emanated that the 2004-05 Ghana Premier League golden boot winner has retired from the game.

But he has rubbished those reports, and said his agent is working hard to ensure he returns to the pitch soon.

"I have not retired from football. I have not even considered retiring. I am not active in the game because I do not have a club. I am working hard, my agent is working hard and I will be back soon," the Tudu Mighty Jets Academy graduate said in an interview with Happy FM.

Prince Tagoe made his international debut for the senior national team, Black Stars in 2006 when the then head Ratomir Dujkovic named him in his 2006 Africa Cup of Nations squad.

He spent about six years with the national team, but he's been out since 2012, and he says he has missed his time with the team.

"Anyone who has played in the Black Stars will miss the team. I have not missed it that much but I miss the moment we had senior players in the team.

"The days of Stephen Appiah and Mathew Amoah were the days the team had everything a young player will like to be part of. They were our mentors and we learnt a lot from them.

"We were playing together, but we always be eager to learn from them. We wanted to be like them and do what they could do with the ball," he said.
