Ugandan defender warns Ghana ahead of World Cup qualifier

Uganda defender Savio Kabugo says his side will be fully ready to lock horns with Ghana in Group E opener of the 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifiers next month.

The Cranes have touched down in the Togo ahead of a friendly match with the Sparrow Hawks on Tuesday.

Coach Milutin Sredojevic'S side are bracing for Friday’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Ghana on 7th October.

Savio Kabugo, who scored the lone goal that dragged Uganda over the line the last time the Cranes took on the Black Stars of Ghana back in 2014 looks back on that match with nostalgia.

Although the Cranes will start the qualifier against Ghana's Black Stars as rank outsiders, Kabugo believes they have what it takes to upstage the form book yet again.

The qualifier will take place at Tamale the Sports stadium and will be handled by Sudanese referee El Fadil Mohamed Hussein. The Sudanese official was in charge the last time Uganda played Ghana during a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
