Borna Coric will undergo knee surgery next week, making him a doubt for Croatia's Davis Cup final against Argentina in November.

World number 42 Coric lost his singles rubber to Richard Gasquet in the semi-final against France, but Marin Cilic helped Croatia to three straight wins and a place in the final.

The 19-year-old won matches in encounters against Belgium and the United States in previous rounds and hopes to be fit for the final on home soil.

"Sadly, I need to undergo a surgery to solve my knee problem," Coric wrote in a post on his official Facebook page.

"I will do it next week in Zagreb and I still hope I will be able to join my team in the finals in November. Thanks for all your support, it means so much!"
