Avram Grant to meet Man United youngster over nationality switch

The former Chelsea boss as part of his monitoring of Ghanaian players abroad had decided to visit the Manchester United youngster to persuade him to switch nationality.

Black Stars coach Avram Grant is set to hold talks with Ghanaian-born Dutch youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah over the possibilty of representing Ghana.

The 18 year old has been in stupendous form for English giants Manchester United where he continues to earn rave reviews for his mouth-watering displays.

Fosu-Mensah, who is born to Ghanaian parents is eligible to feature for the Black Stars after featuring for Holland at junior level.And Grant will be hoping to convince the 18-year-old defender to feature for his native country (Ghana).The former Ajax player (Fosu-Mensah) has hogged the headlines in England and the Netherlands having made six appearances for Manchester United’s first team.The versatile defender made his Premier League debut in February this year after coming on as a substitute in Manchester United’s 3-2 win at home over Arsenal.
