Maxwell Konadu named Kotoko head coach

Exactly five years today, the former Black Stars and Kotoko striker was named to replace his boss Bogdan Korak as the coach of the Porcupine Warriors, after the sack of the Serbian.

”Mr Maxwell Konadu has been appointed as the senior team coach of the club,” an official statement from Kotoko read.

Maxwell Konadu, until his appointment was the assistant of Korak.

The 51-year-old Serbian was fired on Monday, 29th August after months of speculation about his future.

He was given U$25,000 as compensation for his dismissal as he had fifteen months remaining on his contract.

Korak, who took over from Ebo Mends in February 2011 came under intense pressure especially after their President’s and FA Cup defeats to Berekum Chelsea and Nania FC respectively.
