The Bechem based club is currently Ghana FA Cup champions and they will be representing the country at the CAF Confederation Cup competition next season. Bechem have seen the need to augment their squad ahead of the upcoming championship and are seeking to add new players.

However, Agyei who joined Medeama on a short deal last season has caught the attention of Bechem United’s technical team following his impressive display for the Mauve and Yellows.

Asked about his link with the FA Cup champions, Agyei said to Pulse.com.gh:

“Yes, I’m in talks with Bechem United over a possible move.

“My chances of joining them is 70% so I’m looking forward to that, because last season Bechem United had a wonderful season which they won the FA Cup.”

Though Agyei is likely to move to Bechem United, the agile goalie stressed that he might extend his stay at Medeama if Bechem’s deal falls through.

“I joined Medeama on a short deal in the previous season, so if Bechem’s deal fails to go through I will extend my deal at Medeama. But like I said my management team and Bechem United are in advance talk,” he added.

Agyei was part of Ghana’s U-20 team that took the world by storm by winning the World Youth Championship held in Egypt in 2009.
