The new promise was €50,000 more than what Andrea Agnelli, the Presidet of Juventus put on the table for the players had they managed to beat Barcelona in the 2015 - a game they lost 2-1.

Agnelli would have paid €9,000,000 to the 26 members of his squad should they have emerged victorious.

Asamoah is one of the seven Ghanaians to play in the final of the UEFA Champions League- Abedi Pele, Ibrahim Tanko, Samuel Osei Kuffour, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Thomas Partey complete the list.
