Ghanaian youngster Bernard Tekpetey wins penalty for Schalke 04

It was a night of mixed feeling as Bernard Tekpetey on his professional debut for Schalke 04 as he won them a penalty, but sent off in the game.

Yevheniy Konoplyanka broke the deadlock of the game in the 14th minute, before Tekpetey in a move to make it 2-0 was brought down in the 18-yard box and Center referee Əliyar Agayev awarded him a penalty.

Nigerian Denis Aogo finished off perfectly from the resultant penalty call to double Schalke's lead in the 80th.

However, the Bernard Tekpetey, who had gone into the referee's books in the 50th minute was sent off in the 93rd minute, after receiving a second yellow card.

The 19-year-old striker joined the Bundesliga side last season from Ghanaian academy side Unistar.
