Hearts star feels 'honoured' by rave reviews

The 25-year-old made his name at the Rainbow Club before leaving for Saudi Arabia's SC Najran in July 2014, but made a return in March 2017.

He has since been on the receiving end of rave reviews in the ongoing Ghana League season, drawing praise from not only Phobia Faithful, but neutrals and journalists too.

“I feel honored and really appreciate all their support," Cobbinah told pulse.com.gh.

"I will continued to work hard and collaboratively work with my team mates to make history. It is all about team work.”

The playmaker also spoke on Hearts' recent victory over arch rivals Asante Kotoko in the first leg of the Ghana @ 60 Cup.

"Beating Kotoko was a great feeling. We jubilated on the pitch and even continued in the dressing room. It was a great day for Hearts of Oak."

Goals from Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey and Patrick Razak helped Hearts to a 3-1 victory at the Accra Sports Stadium on May 1.

“Everyone was psyched up for the game. As you know, Hearts-Kotoko games are always tough. The records clearly showed that Hearts had gone four games without losing prior to the game, so we went in with a winning mentality. We were playing at home as well so we were confident we would win."

After having played in the Saudi Arabian league, Cobbinah shared his thoughts on the differences with the Ghanaian topflight.

"The Ghana Premier League is difficult but we have good players who are talented and focused. Some teams outside have better training facilities and I believe that is the only difference between us and them."
