Waris, Ayew, Wakaso & Rahman buy tickets for Tamale fans

The four players who hail from the north insist that they want to give the kids in the region a lifetime opportunity of watching the Black Stars game for the first time.

Four Black Stars players - Mubarak Wakaso, Majeed Waris, Baba Rahman and Andre Ayew - have together bought almost a thousand tickets for kids in Tamale to watch the game against the Uganda on Friday afternoon.

The Black Stars will play the Cranes of Uganda at the Tamale Sports Stadium in the opening group fixture of the World Cup qualifiers on Friday at 15:00 GMT.

According to reports in Tamale, Ayew, who has been ruled out of the tie due to injury, will arrive on Friday and has promised to purchase five thousand tickets while Waris, Wakaso and Baba Rahman will combine to buy another five thousand tickets.

Ghana will be playing for the third time since playing Guinea and Togo in the 2015 Afcon qualifiers.
