Former Kotoko star eyes goal king at Aduana Stars

Aduana Stars' Yaya Mohammed eyes top scorer award in the Ghana Premier League this season

The former Asante Kotoko scored his first career hat-trick in his side’s 4-0 thrashing of Sekondi Hasaacas on match day 8 of the Ghana Premier League past Wednesday.

And after that wonderful display, the former Niece player says his target is the golden shoe.

"Of course, it’s one of my targets, I want to win the goal king,’’

“I want to win every award in the Premier League so the goal king is a target,” he told Happy FM.

Yaya Mohamed name was left out in the 25-man squad invited for Local Black Stars camp ahead of Japan friendly but the 29 year-old attacker says he is not unperturbed regarding Maxwell Konadu’s snub.

“No I’m not bothered, there are more matches to go and I know Maxwell will be watching.

“I have played in the Local Black Stars before so I am not worried if I was not invited this time around.

“I have to keep on working hard so that I can get myself a call up back into the team.’’

Yaya has now scored five goals in 8 games.
