Col. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey Appointed Acting CEO Of Expresso

Industry players in the telecom industry have remained tight lipped about his new appointment. Apparently he has been in the position since September this year.

According to reports streaming in, former National Security Coordinator, Col. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (RTD) has been appointed as the acting CEO of Expresso.

According to the telecommunication company’s Chief Commercial Officer Freddie Quainoo, Expresso's ‘main challenge is their affiliation with Sudan and Sudatel which has made it difficult to raise capital locally and internationally and deal with vendors. ‘So we need to look at our structure so we can deal with these challenges’.

Expresso has been involved in various financial scandals following speculations that the company has been sold. These reports were dismissed, but the company was back in the news shortly after Ghanaian giants, MTN & Airtel accused it of withholding payments due them.

Majority shareholders of Expresso, Sudatel gave him the power of attorney to run the telecommunications company. Apparently he has been in the position since September this year.

It is not ascertained yet as to whether Col. Gbevlo Lartey will assume the position permanently
