But she's still terrified that Ryan, father of her 8-year-old son Bentley, will die from a drug overdose.

In a recent episode of Teen Mom OG, Maci opened up to her co-stars about Ryan's substance-abuse issues.

"I’m just sick of cleaning up his mess,” she said. “I get tired of dealing with the sh-t. Just being the only one that f-king sees everything and cares. I talk to [my husband] Taylor about it like, ‘I wonder if today’s going to be the day that Ryan does something that he can’t come back from?'"

Maci has apparently spoken to Ryan about attending a treatment center, and believes he's willing to seek treatment. However, she thinks that the people surrounding Ryan are in denial about his addiction.

"It's everyone else around him that is too afraid to admit it," she said in the emotional discussion about her ex. "What I'm saying is that everyone else around him is too afraid of what it will look like more than his health…it's all denial. They all know." She told her husband Taylor that, "Most nights I’m crying in our bed talking to you about whether or not today is the day he’s going to die.”

Ryan is far from alone in struggling with addiction. The National Institute on Drug Abuse reports that 23.5 million Americans are living with substance addiction, and prescription drug overdoses are on the rise. One report from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention looking at prescription drug overdoses found a 415 percent spike in women overdosing since 1999, and the increase for men was 265 percent.

Here's hoping Ryan gets the support and treatment he needs to get healthy again.
