Argentine forwards Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria have been ciaught up in a huge controversy in their home country for allegedly 'mocking' their coach's half time talk during their 2-2 Copa America draw with Paraguay.
A video of the pair emerging from the dressing room, laughing together with their mouths covered with their hands has sparked outrage in Argentina after it was reported that they were undermining their manager Tata Martino's half-time team talk.
The players in the video were heard saying mocking of half time suggestions from either their manager or someone from the coaching crew.
"What was said in the dressing room? Piece of cake?" Messi is reported to have said.
"That this is not an easy result," Di Maria said.
Argentine newspaper are just one of several major news organisations making the accusations against Messi and Di Maria.
The newspaper deduce that the pair were laughing at a suggestion from somebody in the coaching crew that the match was not over as they were leading 2-0 at halftime.
Messi and Di Maria had scored to give Argentina the lead.
If Mess and Di Maria's comments were true, they should be ruing their mistakes as Paraguay scored two second half goals to level.
