Arsenal midfielder charged for misconduct after anti-Spurs chant
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is in hot waters over his anti-Spurs chant during during Arsenal's FA Cup win open bus parade on Sunday, May 31.
The midfielder picked up the microphone to led Arsenal fans in an expletive anti-Spurs chant.
As the players were presented to the fans, they took turn with the microphone to lead them in a song.
When Wilshere picked up the microphone, he started the anti-Spurs chant.
"I have one question, and one question only: what do we think of ?'" 'shit' the fans replied, before the midfielder added 'And what do we think of s***?" 'Tottenham' the fans responded.
"We hate Tottenham and we hate Tottenham... we are the Tottenham haters," the fans sang afterwards.
Wilshere was cautioned by Arsenal and undefined.
The English FA have however charged the midfielder with misconduct following the incident.
Wilshere led Arsenal fans in a similar chant during last year's FA Cup open bus parade and was caution by the FA about his actions.
"Jack Wilshere has been charged with misconduct in relation to Arsenal's FA Cup celebrations on Sunday 31 May 2015," a statement from the FA read.
"It is alleged his conduct in making and/or inciting certain comments during the club's open bus trophy tour was improper and/or brought the game into disrepute.
"The player has until 6pm on 10 June 2015 to respond to the charge."
