John Dumelo turns down an invite to a beer party - ‘they’ll say I came to drink for votes’

The actor, now a politician, has been under criticism and backlash following a video of him pushing a truckload of garbage after a communal cleanup exercise, surfaced online. According to many, John’s act was to win hearts for votes.

On this note, the NDC Member of Parliament, for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, has publicly turned down an invite to a beer party. According to John, the reason is that, when he comes, people will say he showed up to drink for votes.

John’s reply came on Twitter after he was mentioned in a tweet that says “@JohnDumelo1 the Beer party is happening inside your constituency, #You #Dey for us or” The actor replied, “So that when I come and drink beer they will say it’s for votes”.
