Is the former couple getting back together?

After Sean Penn's shocking break up from Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron last month, fans immediately assumed he would head back into the arms of his ex wife, Madonna. But did he?

According to the National Enquirer, Madonna’s 14-year-old son Rocco Ritchie has persuaded the ex-spouses to reunite following Penn’s recent split, and her years-ago split with his dad Guy Ritchie.

An alleged source tells the tabloid: ''Rocco called up Penn within a day of the actor’s breakup with Theron begging him to ask his mom out.'' The magazine’s supposed “insider” further claims, ''Sean’s always loved Madonna. He thinks she’s the only woman strong enough to handle him. They’re planning a vacation together with Rocco before her tour begins in September.''

However, GossipCop reports that despite Rocco and Penn spending time together, the kid is not intervening in the actor's love life. The site now says Madonna and Penn are not getting back together, despite a new report.

In December 2014, GossipCop called out the Enquirer when it claimed Madonna was “texting and calling [Penn] non-stop in a bid to squeeze out Theron.''
