Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has landed in the country ahead of the nation’s crucial world cup qualifier against Congo on Friday.
The Torino anchorman man touched down at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Tuesday afternoon.
Acquah was initially not part of Kwesi Appiah’s squad for the upcoming assignment, however, injuries in camp have forced the Black Stars coach to invite the former Parma man.
The 25-year-old was handed a late call-up on Monday as a replacement for the injured Isaac Sackey who pulled up while playing for his club in the Turkish topflight.
The Tornio midfielder demonstrated his delight with the call-up by posting a picture on his Twitter feed just minutes after touching down at the airport in Ghana.

Acquah has made 29 appearances for the Black Stars since playing his debut game in 2012, and has just a goal to his name so far.
Ghana will face Congo on September 5 in Kumasi, before again facing the Red Devils in Libreville five days later.
