Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan says he has observed a lot of changes in Kwesi Appiah’s approach following his reappointment as Ghana coach.

Gyan was made Ghana captain during Appiah’s first stint, and worked under the 56-year-old for two years from 2012 to 2014.

Appiah left Ghana after the 2014 World Cup, having failed to qualify the team out of the group stages.

However, the former Al Khartoum coach was reappointed to the post earlier this year after Avram Grant was also unable to lift the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations with Ghana.

But Gyan believes Appiah has learned from mistakes in the past, and will succeed following his second-coming.

“He is the same Kwesi Appiah we know but we've seen a lot of changes at training and attitude in camp,” the Black Stars skipper is quoted as saying by Goal.

"I think he doesn’t want to repeat the same mistakes.

"He is correcting a lot of things that he did before, it’s a good thing for us and we are abiding by the rules.

"We are players and he is the coach. Whatever he decides, we just have to obey and work to be positive.

"We want to win this game and build our confidence for the games ahead."

Kwesi Appiah will take charge of his first game on Sunday when the Black Stars face Ethiopia in an AFCON qualifier at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
