Prez Akufo-Addo expresses condolences, assures family of justice for ‘heinous crime’
President Nana Akufo-Addo has expressed his condolences to the family of Captain Maxwell Mahama.

In a series of tweets, the president said: “My condolences to the family of Captain Maxwell Mahama on their tragic loss. I assure them that the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be arrested and dealt with in accordance with the laws of our country. No one involved in his murder will go for free.”
Captain Mahama was the victim of mob justice by a group of residents in a town in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region. He was lynched to death and his body burned by residents who claim he was mistaken for a suspected armed robber.
His murder has shocked the entire country with social media awash with sorrow and outrage about the way and manner in which he was killed.
He was the only son of his mother and leaves behind father, Barbara, his wife and two young children. Maxwell and Barbara got married in August 2012.
