Alleged mad man kills parents, four others

The 35-year-old man, Akwasi Ganu is reported to have butchered his own family with a matchete and later proceeded to kill the landlord of the house.

According to Accra-based Joy FM, the man butchered his mother, father, brother, sister, as well as the landlord.

The landlord's son however managed to escape.

Narrating the incident to Accra-based Joy FM, an eyewitness, Osei Kweku said "It was about 8pm when I heard people shouting for help from that house. And so I drew nearer and saw the suspect chasing a young boy with a matchete. So I called for him, and I was later told they [residents] caught him and brought him to town."

The suspect was eventually lynched to death by some young people in the area.

Police however managed to retrieve the body which was then taken to the Akim-Fosu government hospital, pending further investigations.
