Boateng was arrested by security operatives for allegedly  impersonating the National Security office, and claiming favours from unsuspecting persons.

Reports say the former presidential candidate hopeful was arrested on Sunday afternoon and later handed over to the Airport Police in Accra who are said to be  investigating the matter.

Prior to the NDC primaries, the General Secretary of the NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia described him as him as ‘someone in need of psychiatric help’ for daring to challenge the President in the primaries.
