Shortly after Mining Company Gold Fields Ghana was granted a stability agreement worth $33 million, the company has donated a tented camp worth 300,000 dollars to the Ghana Forestry Commission.

Director for the Shai Hills, Gwendolyn Wellman applauded Gold Fields Ghana for the project, saying with projects like this as well as other infrastructural development, she does not see why Ghana cannot compete with Eastern or Southern African countries noted for their huge tourism activities.
The Operations manager for the wildlife division Luri Kantonwho who was present at the donation ceremony also called on private investors and government to show interest in developing the tourism sector.
