Gyan opened the scoring in the 13th minutes against four-tier side Van BB during the third round of the Turkish cup series.
The goal was enough to secure qualification for Kayserispor into the next round, with the club unable to add further to the striker’s early goal.
The Black Stars captain joined the Turkish outfit in the summer and scored three goals during pre-season.
