JUSSAG threatens another strike

JUSSAG has called on the government to pay all outstanding allowances due it on or before Wednesday 26 April or they will “advise” themselves.

The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG) has warned that it will embark on an industrial action if the government does not release funds for the payment of outstanding allowances within six days.

A statement from the Association said the government assured it of the implementation of consolidated salaries and that once the consolidated salaries were paid, the payment of benefits or allowances due its members will also be settled.

But it said it regrets to note that those assurances are yet to be fulfilled.

The Association has said that their delayed allowances had placed its members in extreme financial difficulties.

“Our members nationwide are extremely constrained economically as a result of the delay,” it said.

JUSSAG has, therefore, urged the government to pay all outstanding allowances due it on or before Wednesday 26 April or they will “advise” themselves.
