According to Accra-based Citi FM, the residents in the area suspect Akorli has been abducted.

Reports have it that Akorli could not be found shortly after eyewitnesses allegedly saw him walk about drunk.

The relatives called his phone after their search for him proved futile. When they called an unknown fellow picked up, claiming he had George in his custody; indicating he had him slain with his corpse in his possession.

The person who answered the call allegedly said his name was Lucifer.

This is causing panic among residents of the town. Meanwhile, women have demanded the whereabouts of Akorli.

Although similar incidents have occurred in the past, mostly as a result of the decades-old land dispute between the Alavanyo traditional area and that of Nkonya, expectations are that such cases are treated as crimes committed by individuals.

The Kpando Police Command said it is conducting investigations into the matter.
