Akaminko was a player of Eskisehirspor six months ago but terminated his contract with the Turkish side.

However, the Red Lightenings in their bid to regain promotion back to the topflight of Turkish league have resigned the 25-year old Ghana defender to augment their squad.

Akaminko  has been playing in the Turkish league since the 2008-09 season when he started off with Orduspor before switching to Manisaspor from where he was signed by Eskisehirspor in the summer of 2012.

He was part of the Black Stars team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, but couldn’t make the finals after sustaining an injury during Ghana’s warm-up game against Netherlands
