Chairman of UNICOF, Alex Nyarko- Opoku who broke the news to the media said John Esiape will remain suspended until investigations are concluded.

However John Esiape maintains that no other body has the power to suspend him except the Management Committee of the Union.

According to him,  “It is instructive to note that by the UNICOF constitution, the Council (National Executive Council) may suspend a National Officer on proven grounds Of gross misconduct by the votes of not less than 80% of its membership.”
