The Ghana international has been on form in the pre-season for Aston Villa. This has attracted interest from several clubs in England and other European leagues.

However, new Villa owner Dr Tony Xia has already said that he wants Ayew to stay and Di Matteo added.

"We're not looking to sell. It is not a question," Di Matteo told BBC WM.

"Gana was totally different. He had a clause in his contract but nobody else has.

"Jordan Ayew is going to stay here. He is going to be part of our plans. His qualities will shine."

Jordan Ayew bagged 7 Premier League goals in 30 games for Aston Villa to finish as the top scorer of the club, but they were not enough to save them from relegation.
