Kwesi Appiah will commence his Black Stars coaching job duties on Monday May 1, following his appointment as Avram Grants successor.

Appiah, 56 was handed a two-year deal by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on his return as coach of the Black Stars.
He will official start work today (Monday) with monitoring of league to select players for both the Black Stars and the Local Black Stars since he will supervise the activities of these two teams.
His first assignment will be in June when he plays Ethiopia in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Then two international friendlies against Mexico and USA on the 28 June and 01 July respectively.

Appiah will also assemble a home-based side to face Burkina Faso in a 2018 CHAN final round qualifier over two legs.
