The plaintiff was seeking ten reliefs, which included an order compelling the defendants to compile a new and credible national voters’ register for use in this year’s general election.

The New Patriotic Partys Brong Ahafo Region youth organizer, Kwame Baffoe has withdrawn an injunction suit on the impending limited registration exercise against the Electoral Commission.

The withdrawal of the suit was done after lawyers of the plaintiff were alerted to similar suit by Abu Ramadan dismissed by the apex some months ago.
According to his suit the voters’ register in its current state was flawed and “not fit” for the conduct of the 2016 general elections and prayed the court to compel the Electoral Commission to cancel the limited registration exercise indicating that if allowed to take place will constitute sheer waste of the tax payers’ money.
