The President of
Wa Rockets piped their close neighbours, Wa All Stars to navigate through to the semi-finals of the national knockout contest on Saturday.
The underdogs, believes they have what it takes to win the competition, after dispatching off, the hot favourites Wa All Stars, who finished the first round of the Ghana Premier League at the summit of the league ladder.
“We will win the FA Cup, after beating the league leaders of the Ghana Premier League, our confidence has gone up and there is no team that can stop us now. We are winning the ultimate trophy. I believe Bechem United won’t be our stop,” J.K Ofosu, president of Wa Rockets told Happy FM.
“I know we will definitely be champions, but our participation in Africa would be dependent on the assistance we would get from the FA.
“I wanted us to face Kotoko IN THE semi-finals because I knew we would get the points and money by beating them, but it turned out to be Bechem United. However, I will take it like that.”
Wa Rockets will take on Bechem United, the conquerors of Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi for the semi-finals clash. The winner will book a date in the final with either Liberty Professionals or Okwawu United in the other semi-finals duel.
