A lawyer for SSNIT, Ms Leena Adomah Boakye, said she has instruction from her superiors to withdraw the case.
Mr Mahama made his first appearance in court today since the case was filed on April 29.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
His lawyer, Ms Nancy Amartefio, argued that he had cleared his indebtedness to SSNIT before the case was filed on April 29.

But the lawyer for SSNIT disagreed, saying Mr Mahama was summoned on April 13 before he cleared his debt on April 28.
On April 29, Mr Mahama, brother of former president John Mahama, was dragged to court for owing SSNIT contributions of his workers to the tune of GHC 1,056,464.06.
