Al Ghafara agreed on a loan deal with Kuwait champions Al Qadsia for the services of the 23-year old central defender.

Rashid Sumaila's new side, Al Ghafara have the option to buy him after the one-year deal.

Rashid Sumaila was instrumental for Al Qadsia when they emerged champions of the Kuwait Viva League title.

He was named the best defender cum best player at the Kuwaiti club in recognition for his immense contribution to the success story of the team.

Sumaila will, however, wait until next week to make his official league debut for the Tigers due to issues with his International Transfer Certificate.
